A day late, but here's some feedback regarding shamrock shakes...

I called McD's and they checked ingredients and couldn't detect any gluten.

The new "Triple Thick" McDonalds shakes are supposed to be gluten free, but
the old shakes contained wheat flour.  I'm not sure which category the minty
shamrock falls into.

I have spoke to McDonalds weeks ago and they are GF.  The ingredients are the
same as the vanilla with the addition of articifial coloring and mint oil.
