Dear Gluten-Free Bakers,
Happy February!
This month's edition of Gluten-Free Baking and More is all about comfort
foods. From Macaroni and Cheese to Cheesecake brownies, we have recipes that
are easy-to-make and easy-to-eat!
*Lemon Bread. This moist "tart and tangy" bread brings a burst of citrus
into the middle of a winter day.
*Chocolate Ganache Tart. If you love chocolate, this dessert is for you! A
delicate shortbread crust holds a melt-in-your mouth chocolate ganache. This
dessert is rich, so small pieces are advised.
*Cheesecake Brownies. What a combination--cheesecake and a chocolate
brownie! These make a wonderful Valentine's day treat. Well, who am I
kidding? These brownies are fantastic no matter what day it is.
*Parisian Crepes. A great crepe should be paper thin and little brown. This
recipe fits the bill. Crepes are a wonderful base for breakfast and dinner
dishes. However, I love my crepes sprinkled with granulated sugar right out
of the pan.
*Classic Macaroni and Cheese. Looking for an easy dinner? Make a pan of this
macaroni and cheese. The smell of bubbling cheese and browned bread crumbs
will call everyone to the table.
*Mock Box Macaroni and Cheese. Did you know that Kraft introduce boxed
macaroni and cheese in 1937? As wonderful as our "Classic Macaroni and
Cheese" is for a main course, sometimes you want "Mac and Cheese as a side
dish. This is the recipe for you. It's easy to make. Leaving you to debate
whether it should be called "Macaroni and Cheese" or "Cheese and Macaroni".
*Tomato Soup. Looking for a recipe that is as quick to make as Campbell's?
Well, look no further. Our tomato soup is "soup-er" easy to make and
delights kids and adults alike.
*Tips and Techniques from the Test Kitchen. What is the best tool to zest a
lemon? What does "al dente" mean? Find out these answers and more in this
month's issue of Gluten-Free Baking
and More.
