You seem to know a lot about PDA's and I have still not been able to get mine
hooked up with my AOL account.  I am really desparate because that is what I
got it for is to be able to access my email wherever I am.  AOL has not been
any help so maybe you can.  I have read the manuals, done to tutorials, etc.,
but I am still at square one.  This is my first PDA and I am about to throw it
out the window.  I evidently am not doing something right because It keeps
saying that I have an error.  Do I need something special to connect to my AOL
server to access my email?  I would really appreciate any help you could give me
at this point.

The CD-Rom that comes with the Sony Clie is loaded onto your primary
computer (I loaded my onto my business laptop rather than my home
computer because I use my Clie mostly for business purposes). If you
want Documents-to-Go, you can load that software onto your computer,
also. When you first load up your Clie, (HotSync), you can then tell it
what programs/documents to load with another hotsync. As you use the
Clie to update data, each time you hotsync you will update the files on
your computer. You could then archive them to a CD or some other device
if you desire. You can also update a file on the computer and the next
time you hotsync, you will update the file on the Clie. It is pretty
much the same as the palm pilot system but as you know, the Clie has a
large mamory and also accepts a large memory stick for additional
storage. But since your computer probably has much more HD space, it
will be the backup for your Clie. Every Clie comes with a power cable
and hotsync cable so you just have to read the manual, load the software
on your computer and go for it.
