Might I add too, that if neither of those come up with anything, I've found
that a good trojan detector and remover to try is the cleaner. (free 30day
evaluation version also removes them if there are any present)
(some evaluation versions of programs find them but don't actually remove
them.)

Sometimes antivirus programs can miss trojans, but this one 'only' looks for
and detects them.

First of all, do you have an anti virus program and a
spyware remover? If not then go to www.grisoft.com and
get their free anti virus program and then download
Ad-aware from here

There could possible be a virus, trojan, or worm
running in the background that is sucking up
processes, or there could be spyware running in the
background. Try these two programs first.
