Sister Dorothy,

The release mechanism is defective on the drive. There should be a very
small diameter hole somewhere on the front of the drive. Straighten out a
paper clip and insert it in the hole while pressing the "open" button of the
drive. You should feel something that feels like a lever that you can
release with slight pressure. It may take a few tries, but you should be
able open the drive using this procedure. Good luck.

Subject: CD port won't open

When I try pressing the "open" button on a computer someone gave us, there
is a little chittering noise and the light winks a couple of times...but the
