It is possible that someone else's computer is infected with a virus and
it grabbed your email address, stuck it on the from header and sent itself
out to everyone else in the infected address book.  So, the infected
emails may not be being generated from your machine at all.

Never-the-less, the infected emails will look like they came from you, so
the warning is well advised.
