Well, the Kenwood line of duel band HT's aren't too bad, also, it's a tri
bander, the the Icom T90A, which is actually priced well with in the price
range of a duel bander is a great little radio, only thing is it has 3 bands
instead of 2 but it's a good reliable little radio and this is coming from
some one who even back in my CB days, wears HT's out, I've worn out many of
them. but the Icom T90A, is over a year old and still going like new as is
my Kenwood TH-F6A also a tri bander but a great little radio. It think I
even killed my old FT-51 and I was told I couldn't do it, it took 4 or 5
years but it's not right lol, but seriously, I'd give the Icom T90A a real
good look or the Kenwood line of HT's, the TH-G71A I hear is pretty good
though again, if you can look in the right place, it's only priced a few
dollars below the Icom T90A, the Kenwood TH-F6A tri bander is good I've had
mine almost 2 and a half years now and it's been a lot of places with me in
that time, lot of environments and still alive and kicking.
