Actually, the VE team can make the choice of send or receive for the code.  You
can be required to transmit if there is any question in the minds of any of the
VEs on your team as to whether you could do so or not so you should be ready to
do both.  Transmitting is not usually done but it can be at the request of any
VE and you must comply with that request or not pass your code certificate.
