I had been hard-core dairy free for about 5 months. With the holidays, I
thought -- well, some cheese, etc won't hurt. Boy was I wrong. Last night
at a party,I ate a large portion of spinach caserole made with lots of
pasteurized dairy and some wheat. This morning, I weighed a whopping 3
pound heavier! Now I know one cannot gain actual fat that quickly, but
rather it is water retention. Anyone else have similar water retention
experiences after falling off the paleo wagon? I can't imagine that it's
the sodium in cheese because I regularly eat seaweed which is extremely
high in sodium yet I do not retain water from it.
