My hypothesis is that what matters is the total area under the insulin
curve, or total insulin exposure per day (or week, month, etc). So, for
example, although a single "warrior meal" a day might cause a large
insulin response, if the rest of the time (maybe 20 out of 24 hours)
insulin levels are very low, then total insulin exposure might be less
than with more frequent meals. But if those meals are light and not too
carb heavy, maybe not.
Since protein stimulates the release of glucagon, an insulin antagonist,
this should only help things.
