I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. I have no
nutritional data on the maggots and mold found in rotten meat, so I
don't know if it enhanced the nutritional value or not. I do know that
organ meats contain nutrients not found in lean muscle. Modern meat
aging consists of holding the temperature of the meat between 33F and
36F for 3-10 days. It does not rot at that temperature. The limiting
factor for aging is bacterial growth. Bacteria, even in this case, ruin
the meat. Also, pemmican is not simply meat and tallow. The Indian
recipes always called for whatever fruit/nuts/seeds that were available.

The only historical precedence for a pure meat diet I can think of is a
royal diet. Some (European) royalty subsisted on just meat. They weren't
pictures of health from what I understand, most of them suffering from
gout, among other maladies.

I don't know where to get fresh adrenal glands and a good supply of
liver, kidney, lung, etc from various species, so I will stick to the
vegetables, thank you! :)

Best wishes,
Barry
