I've often wondered about this.  It's seemed to me that there ought to be *some* glycemic load to meat if gluconeogenesis is a reality.  Following is a quote from a glycemic load website:

"Foods containing no carbohydrate, composed entirely of protein or fat (meat, fish, eggs, cheese, mayonnaise) have, in effect, a GL of 0, and are not included in this chart."

Is this true?

Second thought.  What do you think about the idea that you can eat as much fat as you want and never gain weight?  Is there anything to that after all?
