As soldiers get their tours involuntarily extended and the casualties mount
up, there are disturbing trend in the military:

I saw an episode on 60 Minutes the other week that made me angry - the Army
called back a disabled Gulf War pilot who'd been honorably discharged on
disability.  They told him he had to serve, no matter if he were disabled
or not and couldn't even lift 30 lbs.  I sincerely hope the Army doctors
ended up disqualifying him from active duty.  There were other examples of
formerly commissioned officers who had officially signed discharges that
were told the discharges were invalid.  Makes me wonder if the Dept of
Defense is desperate.
