That should have been:
'O Thou Improper, Thou Uncommon Noun: A Bobtailed, Generally Chronological Listing of Proper Names That Have Become Improper and Uncommonly Common' by William Espy (I looked it up on Amazon just now!)

BTW, what are you reading right now?  I mean, for fun, if you are.  I'm in the middle of 'The Eyre Affair,' by Jasper Fforde, a very good book.  Friends have been recommending it to me ever since it first came out and I've finally got around to reading it. I highly recommend it.
