I have been on the Internet now for 20 years and I prefer Email
lists for this sort of discussion because you can easily just
let them accumulate and not miss anything. I have not yet tried
any of the social networking sites for the same reasons that
others have already given, namely the amount of time they
require. They are truly a good thing, but they are kind of like
an open phone line 24/7 and that is just not what I want right
now. (A bit of a smile)
One has the same problem with social sites that has
existed since the beginning in that you must be careful not to
attract spammers or share too much personal information. The
blood suckers are always keeping pace with the technology.
