Has anyone tried these supplements?

Primal Defense, RM-10, FYI, Reviv-All, etc. are based on "Homeostatic
Soil Organisms," and there's an eating plan based on "ancient diet".

Refined carbs & sugars are targetted as culprits, along with absence
of these soil micro-organisms due to pesticides, etc.

The company is Garden of life. The "New Guinea sweet potato" is a
common ingredient.

Primal Defense was developed to cure the author of an extreme case of
Crohn's Disease 1994-'96. It's apparently acidophilus, etc. plus
these soil organisms.

The author's book,
  Patient Heal Thyself
tells a gripping tale of his wasting-away as a 19-yr. old, and seeing
dozens upon dozens of big-name alternative health practitioners,
along with hospital visits & "normal medicine" prescriptions etc.
Nothing worked.

His weight dropped from 170 to 104. At one point nurses called his
parents to say he wouldn't be survive the night, and many times he
was referred to as looking like a Holocaust survivor (book's cover
has before and after photos ..).

Then his Chiropracter dad suggested a naturalist who touted a diet
of "soil micro-organisms" which help the small intestine lining,
and some varation of "ancient diet." A month of following this
plan was the first method that helped, aside from intravenous
treatment during hospital stays.

Of course he's the picture of health today, back to 170 lbs., and
sells a range of products under the label Garden of Life, located
in West Palm Beach, FL, and he claims Crohn's is curable.

A schoolteacher friend of mine swears by Garden of Life's "Cold &
Flu Defense," which is mostly oregano, saying that it dramatically
diminishes colds which she calls "kindergardenitis."

So, I wonder if anyone on this list has experience with HSO
supplements and "ancient diet" or Garden of Life products.
