We have an eight year old daughter who was diagnosed with CD (sm.
bowel biopsy) in December 1994. Everyone else in our family had
negative antibodies (endomyosial IgA, gliadin IgA, IgG; all had normal
IgA levels also). We all went on the GF diet.
After about two weeks on the diet, I noticed that I felt better. I
had more energy and felt stronger in general. When I eat gluten now, I
notice that I feel fatiqued within 2-3 hours. We have wondered if there
is a continuum of gluten insensitivity and that some may not be antibody
positive. Alternatively, perhaps on the GF diet, we coincidentally have
omitted something else, which when consumed in large enough quantities
results in fatique (e.g. MSG, who knows what else).
Interested in other perspectives on this topic.
