Hello,
I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease almost 5 years ago by biopsy. For the past 5 years, I've continued to be sick, but always brushed it off thinking maybe I accidently ingested something (although I followed the diet religiously!). Finally, I began symptoms that were in no way related to CD so I went back to the GI. This was not the same doctor that diagnosed me so I had my records sent to my new doctor. When my new doctor received the records, he found I had never been given the blood test and that my diagnosis was only "consistent with Celiac Disease". He took my blood and ran the test. Long story short - my blood came back fine- no celiac. I stumped the doctor. The biopsy says yes, the blood says no. I don't know what to do. Any doctor out there with advice, individuals with similar experiences? Please help!
Thanks,
JA in VA
