Dear Gluten-Free Bakers,
Have you pulled out your cookie cutters yet? One universal holiday treat
is cookies! This month, Gluten-Free Baking and More is pleased to
present our annual cookie issue.
Reader's from all over the country wrote in with family cookies recipes
they hoped could be made gluten-free. We worked hard and are proud to
present the gluten-free versions of these family favorites.
In this month's issue, you will find recipes for:
*Chocolate Pixies--Mouthwatering chocolate cookies that are part
brownie, part cookie.
*Christmas Butter Cookies--These cookies roll out and cut beautifully. A
platter of these cookies will impress gluten-free and non-gluten-free
eaters alike.
*Mint Brownies--Chocolate and peppermint. Does it get any better, folks?
*Coconut Raspberry Bars--If you love coconut, these easy-to-make bars
are for you. The contrast of red raspberry against the white of the
coconut is especially pretty on a dessert tray.
*Molasses Crackle Cookies--Spicy, sweet and full of flavor, these
cookies taste just like the holiday's should.
*Whatever You Want Bars--This fun recipe can be adapted to your tastes.
You can add "whatever you want" from chocolate chips to dried fruit. The
base of this bar is a tasty Blondie-like bar.
*No-Bake Peanut Butter Balls--You don't need to turn the oven on to get
"Ohhs and Ahhs" from your family and friends. These peanut butter balls
are smooth and creamy. They remind me of peanut butter cups, only
better.
*Dried Cranberry and Milk Chocolate Popcorn Balls--Popcorn balls get a
grown-up twist with the addition of dried cranberries and milk
chocolate. This recipe is easy-to-make and even easier to eat!
In addition to these great recipes, this month's issue also contains
lots of cookie baking tips and techniques.
