Most years, I buy Gruenebaums kosher for Passover cakes and cookies, and freeze them for gf deserts all year, with no problems. But this year, my supermarket only had Shabbtai.

A few weeks ago, I told the list about Shabbtai cakes for Passover that were actually marked gluten-free. Since I never saw them before and they were actually good, I was thrilled, and stocked up. But, in the freezer, the Shabbtai cakes molded!

Last night, I took about 10 cakes, mostly jelly rolls, back to the supermarket and got my money back. For the record, the expiration date was today, so even if I hadn't frozen them, they should have still been good.

For those of you who wrote back that you bought Shabbtai, too, check your freezer from time to time. I never saw frozen baked goods go moldy before like that.

Lin
