Listmates,

I received 103 responses regarding my original post about Montina All Purpose Baking Flour Blend bread.

Most wanted to know the recipe, how I baked the bread and where they could buy the flour.

1. I followed the the recipe on the side of the Flour Blend bag, the only substiution I made was in the butter flavored shortening as I use "Smart Balance" shortening.

2. I followed the receipe to a tee, mixing the batter, letting it rise in the bowl for 1 hour, beating it for 3 minutes, poured into a prepared loaf pan, let it rise for another hour, then baked it for 10 minutes at 400 degrees, then covered with foil and baked for another 50 minutes. I cooled the loaf on a cooling rack and sliced and served it warm.

3. Currently Montina flour can only be purchased direct from www.montina.com and is approximately $5.99 for 24 oz. bag. You can obtain bread recipes at www.montina.com/breads.html.

4. I just printed a 42 page cookbook for Montina Recipes from www.montina.cim/montinarecipes.pdf
