Well, I believe that there will not be any additional cost to purchase a
new Apple with the access tech.  However, Apples are already more
expensive than PCs.  So the incremental cost between purchasing an
expensive Apple verses a cheap PC with a screen reader needs to be
considered.

More importantly, just because Apple says they are incorporating screen
reader technology that doesn't even imply that the screen reader is of any
use.
I work for a University and my boss has worked for Apple in the past and
is the Universities Apple connection and we still can't get a beta of this
wonderful free technology.
