Interestingly, I think there is some kind of strange interaction with JAWS
and Internet Explorer.
On my machine at home, I have JAWS 4.51, Internet Explorer 6.1, running on
a beat up old 650 MHz 384 MB of RAM box, that I have totally stripped down
to a minimum memory footprint. IE runs just fine.
My machine at work is a serious developer machine with 2 GB of RAM, dual
3.8 GHz Intel processors, running JAWS 7.1 and internet explorer 7. When
I am in edit boxes on web pages, I cannot type more than a character a
second, or the keystrokes do not get entered into the edit box.
I will be upgrading to JAWS 9 today, so will see if that changes the IE
edit box problem.
Just a data point.
