Seems the highest levels of magnesium are to be found in non-paleo foods. [see the table on the same page]... if you do have a magnesium deficiency it might be worth taking supplements until your overall state is improved... you might want to check you serum ferritin levels too... it is possible to have near exhausted iron stores in the body while maintaining normal haemoglobin levels... that's why a special test for serum ferritin is required.
Not sure about drinking Epsom salts... too much magnesium usually will give you the runs... soaking in a bath with Epsom salts might be a better option as some of the magnesium will be absorbed through the skin... one way to find out :-)
