By definition, virtually all oils are not paleo except animal fat
because of the sin of "excessive concentration" -- you can't cook with
vegetable oils except through concentration that is achieved by
technology. Olives need technology to be rendered edible, don't they?
You didn't mention olive oil, but I use this as an example. Grapeseed
wouldn't have been used for cooking by paleo peoples, right?

I'm not strict on this and I use olive oil and lots of butter. Goosefat
is actually fantastic and you can buy it in a can if you don't want to
render it yourself. It is delicious and I think quite paleo and holds up
well to cooking heat.
