Hi,
A good article on the real meaning of the most recent push to make every
American who is old enough to swallow a pill take statins go to:
http://www.thincs.org/Malcolm.proveit.htm#proveit

The statins do show some evidence of lowering heart attacks, but not by
their cholesterol lowering ability and definitely do nothing positive
for women.

After reading Kendricks articles on this matter, check out his other
articles. Also go to the home site for Thincs and read people like
Ravskov, Enig, etc. Ravskov's home page has a summary of his book The
Cholesterol Myths.

Liz

Wasn't there a recent study which came out that using anti cholesterol
meds lowering
cholesterol drastically actually did reduce heart attack death rates?
Any thoughts
  about this?
