>>>I think you have to produce some solid evidence for these blood group
ideas. Eva<<<

Eva - my mom's name is Eva too! :)

I don't include blood type related info to convince you or anyone
following this diet on this BB. However, if you are really interested,
you can visit Peter's web site where there is lots of scientific
"backing" listed. Way too many links & info to list here. His address is
http://www.dadamo.com - click on "science" in the navigation bar at the
top of the page. That will lead you to a wealth of supportive data on
the effects of blood groups on digestion etc...

The Blood Type Diet is 'unscientific.' It is ironic that something so
well-supported by the scientific literature is called 'unscientific' by
its critics. Much of this is the result of two factors. First, most
critics of the diet are unaware of the huge volume of scientific
research that has documented extensive links between the ABO blood
groups and variations in digestive functions, digestive diseases and the
function of the immune system within the gut.
Consider the fact that out of the more than 9 million abstracts and full
articles on health research on PubMed, the national medical and
scientific database put online by the National Institutes of Health (a
good use of our tax dollars, for a change), 6,000 are on the ABO blood
type system. And here's the "kicker", 3,000 of these 6,000 studies are
on the non-transfusion aspects of the ABO system. For example, there are
studies that will tell us that Os get more ulcers and are more
susceptible to Helicobacter pylori infection, and these studies go back
to the 1950s! Other studies tell us that As and ABs have significantly
higher risk factors for cardiovascular disease and many cancers, and
these studies go back decades. Additionally, Bs typically have more
susceptibility to slow growing viruses such as amyotrophic lateral
sclerosis (ALS, or Lou Gehrig's disease), and these are not new studies.

Even with all the knowledge that is available to us from the 4 corners
of the world, nutrition is still in its "dark ages" Do you really think
that we know all that there is to know? We always have to remember to
have an open mind, even if the theory differs from ours.
We simply don't know what is right or wrong for another.

Again - there are many who do well being a vegetarian and even more with
a high meat based diet.
Personally, after being part of the health food industry for over 20
years - scientific or not, I have never seen ANYTHING as affective as
the blood type diet (last 6 years). So there is something to it as far
as I am concerned.
