The USB memory sticks are not compatible with the connectors for
Sony Memory Sticks. I have a couple Lexar memory sticks, they
seem to work fine. My daughter has a Sony digital camera, a Sony
Clie, and I have a Sony digital 8 video camera. Basic Lexar
memory sticks work fine in all 3. The magic Gate and memory
select sticks are just a way to protect the stick from being
erased like the tab on a floppy, or to split the device, almost
like partitioning - use sector A for text files, sector B for
jpg's. As with everything else computer related, the capacities
are getting larger and at least one of the new versions is a
smaller stick (compact?) than before, same connector profile, I
think.
