I have been trying to establish a VPN connection between two remote
computers, each on cable modems. The one on WinXP Pro appears to be able
to be set up to use the cable modem with a direct Internet connection
OK. However, the machine with WIN98SE is the problem. The instructions in
Help for WIN98, and worse the "wizard" for a new connection, seem to apply
only to a telephone modem, dial up connection.

Does anyone whether WIN 98SE has the capability to do a VPN connection
with a direct cable modem connection to the Internet, and, if so, how does
one do that?

Thank you. Dave Ralph
