Manners?  You mention manners to me?  Where are yours?  I've been on this
list long enough to see you quite regularly belittle and trash others'
language or language skills and then always pass it off as "nothing
personal."  I would wager you a sum that Ray Audette, Loren Cordain, Boyd
Eaton, and Barry Sears all say PA'-le-o.  That is the standard American
pronunciation as spoken by--gasp, horrors, yes!--educated people.  Sounding
funny to your Canuck ears does not make it Yankee wrong.  'Nuff said.
Figure that one out.
