An adult family home is different from a group home. Adult family homes allow
the residents to be responsible -- for instance in a group home you have
rules like nobody's allowed in the kitchen at night, and in the daytime many group
homes force you to leave between 9 am and 3 PM, and you don't have your own
key to the home, and you can't have your own phone in your room. In an adult
family home, all of that is different.

Do a web search for "adult family home" or AFH
