I got a response on this, that frequent meals are
recommended for "hypoglycemia". Not necessarily. Mattson is a
researcher on "intermittent fasting", which is what scientists call
fast-for-a-while/overeat-for-a-while eating schedules. They have
been studying this in rats and mice, which were fed every other day.
This reduces insulin and improves insulin sensitivity, which is apparently
what "hypoglycemics" need. He says there's no good scientific basis for
the idea you should eat frequently --

The intermittent fasting research is really exciting, they say it improves
the ability to deal with stress. See

The warrior diet is a version of this for humans. But it hasn't been
tested on humans yet. They are doing experiments on people to find the
right time lengths for the feasting and fasting. Basically, the warrior
diet guy advocates 20 hour fast/20 hour feast schedule -- although there
is some other advice of his that isn't included in an "intermittent
fasting" idea.

If you have "hypoglycemic" type symptoms this might be hard to do,
although Heidi said it helped a lot with her "hypoglycemia". But maybe
one can work up to it. i think i read that exercising after a fast
is especially good for developing insulin sensitivity, it's a mild
way of doing a warrior diet kind of thing.

A good link for "what hypoglycemia really is", its links to stress:
