I have been using Old Wessex Ltd. Oat Bran daily since before I went gluten-free 3-1/2 months ago. It has a "No Wheat" symbol on the canister. I have been using it for fiber, and, originally, instead of wheat bran (which I could not stand). (I have an injury that makes fiber very important.) At no time that I have eaten Old Wessex Ltd. Oat Bran did it cause a gluten reaction.

However, last week the whole family enjoyed some wonderful oatmeal raisin cookies. They were made from organic Country Choice Oven Toasted Oats. However, all the members of the family who are celiacs all had gluten reactions. Since that was the only thing new that we all had, we conclude that organic Country Choice Oven Toasted Oats was contaminated with wheat.

I would recommend for the wary that they get the home test for gluten and check Old Wessex Ltd. oats out. http://www.elisa-tek.com/

So the next time we have those wonderful oatmeal cookies (made with sunflower seed butter), which will be gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free and corn-free, we will be using Old Wessex Ltd. oats.
