I'm looking to provide Internet access (Surf Stations) for a large meeting. Our normal network uses 172.x.x.x addresses with subnet masks of 255.255.255.0. If I connect a wireless router (D-Link, Linksys, Netgear, etc) into the network and use its DHCP server to provide 192.x.x.x addresses, what risks are there to the existing network? We're looking to use 3 or 4 wired workstations and MAYBE provide 802.11 wireless access.

I'm looking just for Internet access on the 192 side. I do NOT want the different addresses to be able to view each other. I don't even need the 192 addresses to share files with each other. I am looking to do this with existing equipment, or at least a cheaply as possible. This will only be a temporary setup. We have budgeted money for a separate internet connection for this type of station in next year's budget.

Any comments or gotchas that I'm overlooking?
Thanks!
Ron Jobe
