Carol & Jerry and everyone else

I bought a new PS today and the problem remains. Fans go around but nothing
else happens.

Well not exactly nothing. Tonight, for the first time, I noticed that there
is an orange LED on the motherboard lit up adjacent to where the ATX PS plug
goes into it. I've not noticed it before and there is no mention of it in
the mobo documentation, but it is on with both the old and new Supplies. I
think that this just establishes that the PS is OK and always has been.

New CPU/Mobo? Opinions welcome

In case you've lost the thread, it is a Gigabyte GA-7VRX and a Duron 1.3
which won't fire up when the power is switched on. No floppy boot, no HD
boot, no BIOS on the screen, no nothin' on screen, screen is good and PS is
good.

Thanks

John O'Regan
