Brad, under options in MSN Messenger, to the tab General.  The first check
box should be unchecked if you don't want it to start up when you log on to
windows.
If that is unchecked and it still logs you on automatically, I wonder if
the problem might be because you are also on Windows Messenger.
Just a thought.
