The question of whether this will be a good computer for your friend will
depend on what he or she hopes to use it for.  The only problem that stands
out for me is that you have DDR2 memory listed for use with a motherboard
that doesn't support this.  You'll need to use regular DDR memory, instead.
Preferably two matching modules of PC3200 (DDR 400), since this board
supports dual channel memory.  I'd recommend a total of 512MB of memory for
WinXP.  The video card is a good basic card, and it has DVI connections,
which is nice should you want to use a LCD monitor (of course you'll need
one that also has DVI).  Just be aware that the 9250 will not really be able
to do much, if playing 3D computer games is part of the picture.

I was curious about the choice of a 533 MHz bus Pentium 4 for this system,
since Intel has moved on to the 800 MHz speed bus and the motherboard that
you are looking at supports this speed, but I see that there aren't that
many inexpensive Pentium 4 for socket 478 that run on the 800 MHz bus
available.

Personally, I'm prejudiced against the Prescott core and would prefer a
Northwood Pentium 4, if I could find something running the same speed and it
didn't cost a lot more money.  This mostly has to do with how much warmer
the Prescotts run, but if you aren't playing computer games or doing other
tasks that will push the processor usage up around 100% for extended periods
of time, the fact that the Prescott's tend to be less expensive becomes the
deciding factor.
