The Linksys firewall should be on by default. Most Linksys routers can be
accessed by entering 192.168.1.1 into a browser Window. The default password
is admin. Once you've accessed this page you can create a shortcut or add to
favorites like any other web page.
The firewall setting should be on the Security page. I've never liked
anything from Mcafee. Why pay $40.00 for a firewall when Zone Alarm is free
and highly rated?
Wireless security is a different matter, and is well addressed here:

Even in my litle town I can access three wireless networks from my desktop,
one of which is wide open for access by any passersby. I've connected to
this network briefly, and I'm sure I could get into the LAN without too much
effort, so wireless security is very important.

From the Linksys doc, it is not clear what, if anything, I should do
regarding security. Is the firewall it has built in, and my McAfee
firewall
sufficient?
