Another thought that came to mind had to do with the
heatsink.  Is there any possiblity that there is a
problem with either the heatsink/fan assembly being
seated properly agains the CPU or that the thermal
pad/grease needs to be refreshed.  Either of these
situations could cause overheating, thus resulting in
the shut down.

My question to have the other, more knowledgeable
members of this message forum help you, would be to
ask if you are viewing any images on the screen at
all, or does the screen remain black?   A black screen
could be traced to vid card while an image on the
screen might rule out the card not being seated.
