Well, it doesn't say what else he ate and in what quantities, but it certainly sounds like it must have been very natural if it was only what he could produce himself!

Simple life key to Saudi man's longevity
A 130-year-old man has died in Saudi Arabia after a life of eating only the fruit of his labour and making the Muslim pilgrimage to Mecca three times on foot, a newspaper has reported.

The Al Watan paper reported that Zafer bin Yehya al-Asmari died in Ballasmar in southern Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.

Though the report does not say how many times he married, Mr Asmari leaves behind 60 grandchildren.

Son Abdullah told the paper that Mr Asmari, who walked to Mecca three times for the annual hajj pilgrimage, never wore shoes and never travelled by car except when he was once taken to hospital.

He spent a lifetime eating only the product of "what he grew or raised", including honey, butter and meat.

His son says he always warned his children to avoid chemicals.

Mr Asmari was also "known for his boldness and daring to confront wild animals, once killing a tiger".
