Hi Lelia,
Thanks for asking. I don't really know what to say. The school
year and his work schedule have both settled down into a routine so that
has helped. He isn't home much, Thank You Lord. He will not go back to
Eric so Eric has recommended a practice called, "family Preservation,"
which actually comes into the home to work with us. The big question is,
can we afford it. Chris failed his written drivers test the first time
that he took it, but he passed the second time so he has his permit now.
He may be decent to us just to gain opportunities to practice drive, but
that could grow old fast. Greg and I actually picked up information from
the Navy recruter today to give to him and we're going to order
information about the army. Of course, if we don't present the
information just right, it could end up in the trash so, I don't know.
He has discovered playing a game called Star Craft, on line with his
friends and since my computer is the only one with internet capabilities,
that is proving to be another battle ground which is why I want outside
help before the battleground turns into the car keys. Sometimes, when
Chris walks through the door, my stress level goes up to the point that
it was at when I took the stress test a few years back. I just have to
keep reminding myself that God is working on me and He is working on
Chris and He is walking through all of this with us. I am not alone.
Another lesson that I learned from my stress test was that the anxiety
that I had experienced before that test wasn't worth it. I'm trying to
tell myself that now, but it is hard to stop your heart from pounding and
your stomach from churning on demand.
Kathy
