The Microsoft Accessibility Update is a free e-mail newsletter that
provides information about accessibility including accessibility options
in Microsoft products. This newsletter is sent to subscribers in the
first week of the month and is managed by the same group that manages
the Microsoft Accessibility Web site.

Microsoft Earns U.S. Department of Labor New Initiative Award
Microsoft Corporation was named one of nine recipients of the U.S. Labor
Department's Annual New Freedom Initiative Award announced October 25,
during National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The NFI Award
recognizes exemplary and innovative efforts to train, recruit, and hire
people with disabilities. The New Freedom Initiative is a comprehensive
set of proposals designed to give people with disabilities the
opportunity to fully participate in all aspects of community life,
including employment. Awardees will be honored by U.S Labor Secretary
Elaine L. Chao at a November 17 departmental ceremony. See also
