The scents of spring bring joy,
The orange blossom trees secrete their sweet,
Strong fragrance in the coolness of the evening,
One cannot help but feel intoxicated,
Ready to fall in love -

Along a busy street, other sweet scents greet me,
Baby birds make their first flights,
The warm weather awakens my soul,
There is joy, there is hope,

At a nearby pond,
The waterfall causes shadows to move
In mysterious ways,
Almost like the Aurora Borealis
The light in the trees shifts and bends,
Sparkles and shimmers, like a dancer
Wearing a transparent golden scarf.

The earth’s magnetic force is heading south,
As it has done every several hundred thousand years,
Navigational equipment must be recalibrated,
And people in the southern hemisphere
Will see the stunning aurora borealis
Until, once again, Mother Nature returns
These lights to the north
Just as she brings back spring.
