Hi Fred,
On the thf-6a I am not sure but like Kevin said try the 7 key until you hear
no beep which is no pl encode and/or decode to be sure you don't have
something else turned on.
ts-2000: 440mhz type in your operating frequency, select fm, off set 5000
yes, 5 thousand. Also will need to select plus or minus. If you are doing
this from the front of the radio the "zero" key is your off set.
Hope this helps, Brian, k5in

Subject: kenwood questions?
Hi all,
I have recently encountered a problem with my kenwood radios, and ironicly,
it's the same problem.
When I use the software for the th-f6a and program in a symplex frequency,
it doesn't hear on the simplex frequency but does transmit on it. What am I
doing wrong?
On a second kenwood radio, my ts-2000 I have tried programing in 440 mhz
repeaters and am unable to transmit in to the repeater input, do I need to
type in 5,000 or just 5000 for the off-set when using the software, and a
second question question about programing from the front of the 2000, do I
switch VFO's to program in the input frequency?
Thanks in advance.
