Hi;
yes nye viking did make a swr meter that went in the antenna line and gave a
variable pitch for relative rf output and swr.  Of the tone units I've seen
it is by far the best.  As you can guess, they stopped making it about 15
years ago.   It does look a bit home made unfortunately, the price wasn't at
all home made.

As for antennas, if anyone is interested in a r7 that was up about 6 months
and went in the box when a friend put up his beam e mail me off list and I
will be happy to forward your inquiry.
As for linears, I've had good luck with an ic2kl but there is now a unit put
out by amaratron that is worth a look.
Sounds like someone is thinking of getting back on the air.
