I used a Hustler 10-40 vertical with 80-meter top loading coil for quite a
while. I Had it on my roof with four radials per band. It was a good DX
antenna, but not as good for short haul work. It was more prone to QSB
than a horizontal antenna and was also more susceptible to man-made
electrical noise. It was a pretty good compromise though.
