For those looking for an audible readout on a rig, don't forget the
offerings from Elecraft.  Using the krc2 with the k2, you get almost
everything.  This includes the actual menu text on the display.  This is
unliike the kenwoods which only speak the menu number.

Understand, however, that the elecraft rigs, k2 +krc2, and kx1, use cw
instead of speech.
I have to say that the elecraft offerings are absolutely the most
completely accessible rigs out there.

This comes from one who owns a k2, kx1, and the kenwood ts2000; as well as
several boat anchors which will soon be  on the air.
