Howard:

I've run all kinds of nets--i.e. VHF, UHF, and even HF.

I use the perkins Braille writer to take down my check-ins and traffic.

I have a speaker mic, so that only one hand has to be occupied when running
the net.

It's a matter of timing, really.

You give the preamble--reading with one hand, and holding the mic with the
other.

Then, you set the mic down, take check-ins, etc.

It really works pretty well if you have a good net preamble, and a
systematic approach to the net that allows both hands to be free when
Brailling out net information.

If you'd like me to send you a sample net preamble that I use for our club
nets, let me know, and give me your private e-mail address.

Hope this helps at least a little.

I know it seems formidable at first, but it's really not that bad.
