In case none of us answered your other question directly, the 8 pin mic plug
is wired for the Kenwood.  Just  screw it on and have fun.  You can go to
Heil's page heilsound.com , I think and get more info on this mic and listen
to audio clips of  the different mic cartridges.  They reccomend close
talking this mic and increasing your mic gain.   Default is 50 and I run
mine at 70.  Max is 100.   Everybody's voice is different, your milage may
vary.
