Hello everyone;
There were also lots of comments concerning the ic 703. Is this a qrp
version of the 706?
I have heard lots of mixed info concerning the 706. It does have speech for
the frequency read out, and you can buy a pad for frequency entry. Is it
really usable with these two extras? I had the idea that it is very menu
driven and you still don't have any real access to the menus. Are the menu
items mostly set and forget? How is the receive? A new ham who is fully
sighted got lost in the menus and accidently called cq on a local repeater.
It does, however, sound like a nice small package that covers lots of
frequencies.
